QbTest is a computer-based diagnostic screening tool test that blends an attention test with a movement analysis using an infrared measurement system. This test assesses Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder/Attention Deficit Disorder (ADHD/ADD). This diagnostic tool has the approval of the FDA.

Conditions Treated

Qb Check treats the following mental health conditions:

Anxiety

Depression

Insomnia

OCD

ADHD

Phobias

Why Take a Qb Test?

The results of the Qb test can indicate why an individual finds it tough to focus, or why he is fidgety or is highly energetic at night. Some of the above symptoms may come to light in school. From the results of this test, psychologists or psychiatrists can decide the kind of support the individual needs in the future to overcome these problems so that he is a confident individual.

Procedure

QbCheck test measures hyperactivity, inattention, and impulsivity objectively to help ADHD assessments and to assess the treatment interventions in those with ADHD. It is a computer-oriented test where the individual’s ability to focus is assessed, along with his impulsivity and movement.

Here, he is made to sit in a chair with back support and he listens or watches information as it comes up on the computer screen. He must respond to the test by using the keyboard. The test will offer an overall score of his symptoms of ADHD, among other data. Despite all the details it offers, it cannot be treated as a standalone ADHD diagnosis but as an indicator of the individual’s risk for ADHD.

Before he takes the test, he will be asked to wear a headband with a ball that measures his rate of movement during the test. He will hold a responder button in one hand and click his responses with the other hand. One’s performance in this test does not depend on one’s language, math, or reading skills. This test will last for about 15-20 minutes.

Is the Qb Test Reliable?

A study was conducted a few years ago by the University of Nottingham, UK, known as the AQUA Trial. The Qb test conducted here on 250 children proved to be so accurate that it now comes to light that the Qb test significantly reduces the time required to diagnose ADHD without compromising on accuracy. This is proof of its reliability.
